Non-Invasive Approach

As a standalone application, Compassoft Professional analyzes spreadsheets without the need for Excel plug-ins. Plug-in based tools may give unpredictable results when used with other plug-ins, macros, or even corrupt the spreadsheets data which is being analyzed. Compassoft Professional’s analysis interface does not invoke Excel, but instead maintains a separate viewing interface that strips out formatting and surfaces hidden information, while keeping a separate record of documentation in an access-managed location. This allows auditors to document the analysis of the spreadsheet outside of the body of the spreadsheet itself to maintain the integrity of the documentation, and keep it out of the view of the end-user if appropriate.
