As CEO of Compassoft, Paul brings to the management team more than 20 years of industry experience, in senior executive and general management positions with both startup and public companies. Prior to joining Compassoft, Paul was the President of Striva Corporation, an award winning market leader of solutions for enterprise data integration. Striva was acquired by one of its many distributors, Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ:INFA) in September of 2003. Under Paul's leadership, Striva experienced rapid growth and its integration and infrastructure technology was deployed by more than 200 major corporations including among others, American Express, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Boeing, Continental Airlines, Federal Express and JPMorgan Chase. Prior to Striva, Paul held executive positions with among others, Unify Corporation, Infinity Financial Technology (now Sungard), Borland International and Oracle Corporation. Paul holds a B.S. in Economics from American University, Washington, DC.

Steve Baloff

Since 1996, ATV's portfolio companies have benefited from Steve Baloff's operational expertise in the IT infrastructure market. His tenure in the venture capital industry allows him to identify the emerging companies with the highest potential for growth, even in a difficult climate. Steve understands the importance of a collaborative approach and dedicates his time to helping companies with strategy, business plans, positioning in the marketplace, and any important potential customer introductions. He is committed to seeing his companies succeed, and offers advice to help his portfolio get ahead, garnered from extensive operational experience in the IT infrastructure industry.

Steve focuses on investments in the enterprise software and IT infrastructure markets. He also serves on the board of directors for several companies including Compassoft, Liquid Engines, Noosh, Black Pearl, Tripwire, WildTangent, and WorldChain. Previous investments include UpShot (acquired by Siebel Systems-SEBL), Striva (acquired by Informatica-INFA), ViryaNet (VRYA), Velogic (acquired by Keynote-KEYN), and Seeker Software (acquired by Concur-CNQR).

Prior to joining ATV, Steve was CEO and founder of Worldview Systems, developers of Travelocity, the leading travel website. Steve raised substantial venture capital funding and successfully sold Worldview to Random House and Ameritech. Prior to this he held a variety of executive positions at Covalent Systems, a vendor of shop floor data collection and business systems. Previously, he was with the management consulting firm of Booz Allen Hamilton.

Pete Sinclair

Pete founded Leapfrog Ventures in 2000 with Mark Dubovoy and Peter Rip.  Prior to founding Leapfrog, Mr. Sinclair was the President and CEO of Intrinsa, a venture capital funded software company he sold to Microsoft.  Prior to Intrinsa, Mr. Sinclair was President and CEO of Smart Valley, a non-profit organization focused on implementing a high-speed information infrastructure throughout Silicon Valley.  Prior to Smart Valley, Pete arranged and negotiated the sale of Mastersoft, a software company, to Frame/Adobe.  Previously, he was President and CEO of another venture-funded software company, Software Transformation, which he successfully sold to Novell.  Pete has also worked as a venture associate at TVI and has held senior marketing and sales executive management positions at Software Publishing Corporation, Apple Computer and Hewlett-Packard.  A Silicon Valley native, he currently lives in Woodside where he an elected member of the Town Council and has served two terms as Mayor.  He is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Paul Salsgiver

President and CEO

Paul Salsgiver has more than 32 years of proven management experience and is a recognized leader in the creation of applications for the higher education industry. He is currently the President and CEO of Advanced Photometrics, Inc, an analytical instrument and software solution provider.

Before joining Advanced Photometrics, Paul served as the President and CEO for HigherMarkets, the leading eprocurement ASP services vendor in the higher education marketplace. Prior to HigherMarkets he was the chief executive officer of Rubric, Inc., the industry leader in eMarketing Automation (eMA) applications, which was acquired by Broadbase Software at the end of 1999.

Prior to Rubric, Paul was president of the Education and Government Division at PeopleSoft, Inc. (NASDAQ:PSFT). While at PeopleSoft, he is credited with creating the Education and Government Division in 1994 and growing it to represent 30% of revenue for the company's North American operations in 1998. At Paul's departure from PeopleSoft, the division had revenues in excess of $395 million and a staff of over 1,800 professionals. Paul also served as vice president of business development for two years prior to establishing the E&G division and served as vice president of account management for two years after joining PeopleSoft in 1990.

Before his time at PeopleSoft, Paul was an executive at Integral, a provider of human resource and financial software solutions.

Paul also sits on the board of directors at Advanced Photometrics and Strateva, a leading provider of innovation management software and is a Trustee for the education foundation at California State University, Hayward.

Paul received his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley.

Dan Schoenbaum

Senior Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Development

Schoenbaum currently serves as the senior vice president of marketing and corporate development at Tripwire, Inc, the leader in configuration audit and control solutions. Prior to joining Tripwire, Dan served as chairman of mergers and acquisitions and vice president of business development at Compuware Corporation (NASDAQ: CPWR), a billion dollar software and professional services company with solutions that help chief information officers (CIOs) more effectively manage the business of IT. Prior to Compuware, Dan served as vice president of business development at SeeRun Corporation. In addition, Dan spent eight years at Mercury Interactive - now part of Hewlett-Packard Co (NASDAQ: HPQ) - in a variety of senior roles where he created and managed a line of products that sparked the company’s growth and built the company’s strategic alliances program.

Schoenbaum currently also serves as an advisor to Cenzic, Inc, the leader in application security risk management, vulnerable assessment, and compliance solutions. Previously, Dan was on the advisory board of nLayers, Inc., which was acquired by EMC Corporation (NYSE: EMC).
